My name is Tarn: games academic, skater, streamer, TCG player, and amateur pixel artist.

At a glance:

• Independent creative - I'm currently working as artist, writer, and producer on my first full video game release - a short management sim called Tiny Launderette.
• Proficient educator - I'm a university lecturer with a PhD in Media Studies, and spend term-time teaching Games Studies to prospective games developers and creatives.
• Meticulous qualitative researcher - I conducted large-scale surveys and interrogative interviews for my doctoral thesis on video games communities, before analysing them in Nvivo.
• Content creator - part-time streamer, confident in software such as OBS Studio and Vegas Pro, and platforms such as Twitch and Tiktok.
